Today I attended the John Frieda Salon Tour in Dallas at the Shops at Park Lane. I received a phenomenal hair transformation, courtesy of one of the JF stylists on the tour, and learned a lot about JF products. Overall, I had a fantastic time!
This is the fourth year that JF has gone on tour. The first year featured a beach tour, but, since then, the tour has changed. Now the tour is made possible by transforming a semitrailer into a beautiful salon. Let me just say that the effect is astounding!
As soon as you walk through the doors, you know that this tour is unlike any other salon tour. The salon definitely does not look like what you'd expect the inside of a truck to look like! How they complete this transformation, I'll never know...but it sure is breathtaking!
The interior is gorgeous! It really does have the look and feel of a high-end salon, and the staff is so friendly and warm. I spoke for awhile with Carrie, the tour manager, and she's such a doll! She provided me with so much information and really made me feel welcome. I also chatted with Tricia, one of the JF girls on staff, and she was super sweet, as well. I really enjoyed the whole experience!
Here's a little bit about how the process works...
After signing in, you can wait your turn to see a stylists in one of the comfortable, chic sitting areas.
You can also enjoy demo videos playing on screens throughout the salon or marvel at the wall of JF products - we're talking eye candy here!
When it's time for your consultation, a stylist will greet you and take you to a station. Prepare to be transformed in a mere 15 minutes! As your locks receive some lovin', your stylist will let you know which products are being used and what their purpose serves. When your transformation is complete, you even have the option of having your hair "prescription" emailed to you so you know what products to purchase later - what a great touch!
Ironically, I had a haircut appointment right before the event (I scheduled the appointment before I even knew about the John Frieda Tour). Although I liked the cut, the styling was a little too conservative for me. I didn't say anything to my hair dresser because I wanted to see what a John Frieda stylist could do to mix it up - and I was definitely impressed.
The stylist who worked on my hair was Daniel. He is super talented - I love the results! I'm kicking myself now for not taking before-and-after pictures, but here are some pictures taken throughout my hair transformation.
In 15 minutes, Daniel took my hair from boring to fabulous! What do you think of the results?
After receiving your consultation and styling, if you're interested in coloring your hair, you can go to one of the interactive stations below to take a survey on hair color. At the end of the survey, you'll receive recommendations from John Frieda's Precision Foam Colour line. John Frieda was actually the first to develop the foam technology for hair dying, and the product promises salon-quality results at home.
I've been wanting to try this foam dye for awhile now, and Daniel made a color recommendation for me that I think will look great. I definitely plan on buying the product soon and writing a review!
I was having such a good time at the John Frieda Salon Tour that I didn't want to leave! Everyone was so nice and completely knowledgeable. John Frieda really knows what it's doing!
Here are some of the lovely JF girls with Carrie (in the middle).
Not only am I pleased with the results of my hair transformation, but I'm also thrilled with the whole experience. I definitely recommend attending if the tour is stopping in your city.
If you live in the Dallas area, it's not too late to miss out on the fun! The tour will continue tomorrow, Saturday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Shops at Park Lane. It's definitely worth the trip!
To learn more about the John Frieda Salon Tour or to see if it's coming to a city near you, just visit John Frieda's website. Be sure to check out the Facebook page, too!
Carrie hooked me up with lots of full-sized products to review and give away, so stay tuned! I'll be doing a review of the products in a couple of weeks, along with a giveaway!
(Side note: If you're blonde and are interested in trying out a new JF product made specifically for blonde hair and writing a review on it for my blog, please contact me! Obviously, I'm not blonde, but I'd love to have someone else share their opinion!)

This is so cool, I would love it if they stopped by Vancouver- my hair is in desperate need of some fabulous styling! Your hair looks so good when Daniel was done (though I'm sure it still looked cute when you showed up there too!) kinda messy and chic, a combo I love! xx
@Fifth Sparrow Thanks so much! It really was super neat! Unfortunately, I don't think they're making any stops in Canada this year, but you should Twitter John Frieda and tell them to stop there next year! Maybe if enough Canadians tweeted that, they'd add that to the line up.
This looks so fun!! I love John Frieda products.
