COLOR WARS
I decided to join the FBFF bandwagon! Here are this week's questions/responses...
1. What color dominates your closet?
Honestly, I have a pretty good mix of color in my closet. I'm typically most drawn to jewel tones - they suit my skin tone. Lately, I've also enjoyed neutrals that are easy to mix-and-match.
2. If money weren't an issue how would you change the color emphasis
in your closet?
I wouldn't mind adding some more green. It comes in so many pretty shades! I really think it's important to have a variety of colors, though.
3. What is your mantra about mixing colors?
I wouldn't say I have a mantra per se, but I trust my instincts. I don't consult a color wheel - I just use my imagination. If it looks great to me, then I wear it. I get a lot of color mixing ideas from other bloggers, as well.
4. For you, how do you incorporate color into your outfits?
I incorporate color into my outfits in a lot of different ways...it just depends on my mood. Sometimes it's a colorful outfit altogether, other times it's incorporated through a cardigan or pretty blouse. A fun way of bringing in some color is through accessories. I'm a sucker for a good pair of tights and a vibrant purse, and I have a blue pea coat that I absolutely love. Also, who doesn't love a pretty colored scarf?
5. Which blogger(s) do you think do a good job of incorporating color
into their wardrobe?
Ariel of Artfully Awear does a fantastic job! She uses art as the inspiration for her outfits, which are always colorful, bold, and interesting. Although we don't necessarily have the same aesthetic, I love to go see what she's wearing. It never fails to capture my interest.
Kristine of Kristine. Or Polly. also does a wonderful job with color. Her clothes are very wearable and down-to-earth, but she mixes colors and patterns in a way I'm not brave enough to, and she always looks superb.
So many bloggers do a great job with color, so the list could go on and on.

i agree that jewel tones are simply stunning! i love the way you've worn color - gorgeous lil collage!! the mustard tights are really fun and i like the way you rock prints.

Thanks so much! It's fun to look back through pictures and see how I styled things. I've been obsessed with those mustard tights and have had to stop myself from wearing them repeatedly!
