Exciting news!

I love sharing exciting things with you!  And today I have not only one exciting thing to share, but two!

So, let's cut to the chase...

In non-fashion-related news:

Caleb and I adopted a new pooch!!

She's an all black chiweenie that we rescued from Dallas Animals Services, and she's just as precious as can be.  We named her Leila, a) because it means "black haired beauty," and b) just because we think it's a pretty name.  We're so excited to have this addition to our little family!  We looked around a lot, and I know we found the perfect match for us and for June.  It's so fun to watch them play!  I'll be sure to post some pictures soon.  I bought them matching outfits today.  :)

In fashion-related news:

That good ol' reliable Texas weather decided to get chilly once again, so I got to wear a blazer I thrifted at the beginning of the month for the first time.  So maybe this isn't quite as exciting as getting a new dog, but I do quite enjoy the blazer.  Best part about it - it was $1!

I went thirfting at the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store in Dallas, and they were trying to rid themselves of the hundreds of women's blazers they had, so they marked them all for $1.  I may have bought a few...or 8.  Today's outfits included one of them!  Since it got so warm so quickly, I didn't think I'd get the chance to wear any of them until the fall, but a quick 30 degree drop provided a little window of opportunity.  Who knows how long the cold front will last?  Maybe I'll get to share more of my $1 finds with you soon.

That's such a cute top! I love the knit design. Also, I'm super jealous about that blazer deal. Granted, my blazers were all thrifted for $4, but $1??? Such a great deal! I'd like to see what other one's you found! :)

Thanks, Bri! I got some good ones! I'm sure they'll all make appearances eventually.
