This past Saturday I attended a DFW blogger meetup put together by Julie of Rosy+Tart. We started off at Charming Charlie for some accessories shopping, and the store was kind enough to provide us with drinks, snacks, and, best of all, a 20% discount! (You know I love to save!)
This was my second visit to CC, and, I must admit, the selection was a little overwhelming at first! Accessories are separated into sections by color, and there are literally thousands of pieces to choose from. However, once you adjust to the plethora of items surrounding you and the endless colors to be seen at any turn, digging in is quite fun! There's really something for everyone there. The first time I went I was with my my sister-in-law (who was 14 at the time), my mother-in-law, and my grandmothers-in-law, and we all walked out with something! My four year-old niece would be just as enamored with the store, as well. This time, I walked out with a set of three earrings and a ring. The other girls got some fun stuff as well, including pretty rhinestone headbands, a straw hat, and a colorful necklace, just to name a few.
After shopping, we walked across the street to Brickhouse Tavern, where we enjoyed food and drinks. Since it was lunchtime, it was nice and low key, and we enjoyed chit-chatting with each other, talking about blog stuff, and our next meetup. We decided a swap/karaoke night would be super fun, and I'll be organizing the event! Hopefully our plans work out because we are totally stoked about belting out our favorite 80's tunes!
