Lavender lace and running late

For me, this outfit was the perfect combination of lace, pretty colors, and femininity.  In other words, it was calling out my name long before I ever put it on, and I felt terrific wearing it.

Truthfully, though, it didn't get the time it deserved.  You see, this outfit was intended for evening church services.  (I work at the coffee shop in my church Sunday mornings.)  However, after finally getting around to dying my hair (my roots were begging for it), washing the color out, shaving my legs, styling my hair, putting fresh makeup on, and putting an outfit together, I, embarrassingly, had made myself late for church.  I'd like to say that this was the first time such an event occurred, but I'd be lying if I said that - and, being a church-goer and all, I'm not much of the fibbing type.

Instead of waltzing into services late, I decided to watch the sermon online later and do something else productive - take outfit photos.  (That counts as productivity, right?)  Caleb and I scoped out a pretty area and got to it.  I must say that this process would be a lot more enjoyable if we weren't battling 100 degree weather, but fall will get here soon enough...we hope.

To get some additional wear out of this outfit, we did some minor grocery shopping.  Not only did we need orange juice and cheese, but I just felt this outfit needed some more face time.

Chances are I'll be recreating this exact outfit sometime in the not-so-distant future and actually wear it to its intended destination - church.  Pray that I get ready on time next week.  (Caleb's prayers alone don't seem to be working, but perhaps there's power in numbers.)
