Fashion's Night Out in Southlake

Last Thursday, I met up with Jenni from Engineered Style and two of her friends for Fashion's Night Out in Southlake, TX - one of many DFW area suburbs.  There were events going on all over the metroplex, but I opted for something I hoped would be more low key, and I wasn't disappointed.  The larger crowds migrated toward some of the more "major" events in Dallas, but I enjoyed getting to take advantage of some of the free services at local shops without having to push my way toward the counter.

We started off the evening at Lemongrass Salon, where we enjoyed complimentary hor d'oeuvres and watched hair and makeup demonstrations.  I also received a free mini chair massage, which was wonderful!

We also went to Sephora for free hair and makeup makeovers and Asian snacks from a local restaurant, and we had a blast!  My makeup artist gave me a pin-up inspired look with a twist.  The yellow eye shadow and teal liner were so fun!  I highly, highly recommend the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer that was used on me.  Seriously - that stuff is magic!  My under eye circles disappeared!  I have not purchased the product yet, but I intend to do so soon.

Here I am with Jenni after our makeovers - isn't her blowout fabulous!  I received a Madmen inspired 'do, which I absolutely loved.  My stylist used Bumble and Bumble Styling Wax to smooth down the front and add separation and hold to my curls.  I have heard great things in the past about B&B products, and I was so happy with the look that I ended up purchasing the wax.  I look forward to trying to recreate this look soon.

Although I don't have any pictures of our last shop, we ended our evening at Charming Charlie.  They had a small variety of cakes to try from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and they were so good!

I really enjoyed my first FNO, and I can't wait for next year!

How much fun!!! Love the outfit you chose to wear. You looked amazing. That lace top is GORGEOUS. Thanks for the rec. on the makeup. I've been searching for something to help with the bags & circles under my eyes. I may give that a try. Also, oh how I LOVE Charming Charlie's. To me it is the happiest place on Earth. Throw a little cake tasting in the mix & it would be heaven on Earth. Glad you all enjoyed your night out :)
