Sometimes I'm cheesy

I wore this outfit on a date night with my husband, but let's cut to the chase.  There are few things I love more than date nights with my husband...especially date nights that involve chips and queso.

There.  I've admitted my weakness.

When I make my own meals at home, I usually cook very clean and healthy.  I love fruits and veggies and usually have multiple servings of each a day.  I drink water like it's going out of style.  I watch my portions.

But the minute I step into a restaurant featuring Mexican fare, chips and queso (and the typical accompanying salsa) lure me into their delicious goodness.  Here's my justification: a) queso is dairy, and I need calcium to prevent osteoporosis, b) salsa is really just chopped veggies (true to a certain extent), and c) chips...well I guess I just ignore those.

Nonetheless, I don't plan on replacing my favorite appetizer anytime soon.  Some might call this a lack of will power.  I call it knowing what I want.  It's a matter of perspective.

Some splurge on chocolate cake, but I'm a sucker for anything dripping with cheese.  And last time I  had blood work, my doctor said my calcium and vitamin D levels were outstanding, so perhaps just maybe my theory is working.  (Let's just hope my metabolism is too.)

Very cute outfit. It perfect for a date night! And, I couldn't agree with you more--queso is so very good. Oh, so good!
